charities, sponsors and helpers who were involved with the Christmas Tree Festival and Christmas Market, we were pleased to welcome around a hundred guests and we all enjoyed a buffet supper and a great social atmosphere. Our thanks must be given to Gill Tasker and her helpers for organising the supper which was in the true St John’s style.We were able to announce that the charities, between them, raised £1770 for their particular causes and that the sponsorship, which enables the festival to take place, was in the region of £2000. In addition, the Christmas Market raised in excess of £3100 for Church funds. This is a super result and our thanks go to everyone who contributed, in any way, to this success. Can we build on this at the 2009 celebrations?
During the evening we were able to present a DVD and a CD of the festival to each of our charities and sponsors as a mark of our appreciation and we would like to thank Jim Wright for taking the photographs and making the presentation packs.
Note for your diary, The next Christmas Tree Festival will take place on December 11th and 12th 2009!!!
