Twelve adults, three children and a dog enjoyed a bracing walk up to Darwen Tower near Blackburn on Saturday 19th May. Despite initial difficulties finding the starting point, a distinct lack of open tea rooms and pubs, and battling gale-force winds, the odd hailstorm and snow flurry they stood under Darwen tower and enjoyed panoramic views over the surrounding districts.
