Visit by Farnborough Road Infant School

On 28 June St Johns was delighted to welcome the Year 1 children from Farnborough Road Infant School. Over 100 children visited us during the morning to look around the church. They were welcomed by the Vicar Philip Caton and then lay-reader Christine Baker and Church Warden Sally-Ann Tatlock spoke to them and explained all about the various parts of the building such as the altar, pulpit, lecturn and font. They also enjoyed looking at the stained glass windows and listening to the organ played by our organist Val Warren. We hope the children all enjoyed their visit and are always pleased to welcome any groups who wish to visit us.

Thanks for this, Val. Well done!!
