Farnborough Road Infants visit St. John's 14th December 2009

On the Monday after the Christmas Tree Festival, all the Year 1 and Year 2 children from Farnborough Road Infant School walked down (in the rain) to see the trees.

They brought money with them and had a good look round before deciding which charities they wanted to contribute to.

Whilst they were in the church they took the opportunity to sing many of the Christmas songs that they had been learning this term. Some even performed little dance routines.

One of the highlights was the way they "signed" the first verse of Away in a Manger. There is nothing like Infant singing at Christmas!

It was great to see the Church being used in this way.
I hope they all enjoyed themselves and felt it was worth the wet walk!
