9.00 a.m. on Saturday 30th January saw a dozen, noble men and women reponding to the call for volunteers to spring-clean the church.
The frozen pavements outside suggested that spring clean might be something of a misnomer but it didn't lessen the enthusiasm to get into every nook and cranny of a building which, believe me, has many nooks and crannies! It is amazing where pine needles and glitter can get to and how tenacious they can be! Spiders were sent scurrying in all directions but, fear not, I am sure it will not take them long to re-establish their homes.After two and a half hours hard work the whole place shone like a new pin (or should that be needle)!
