Christingle Service 2011

On Sunday December 11th we held our annual Christingle service.
This year, as we were without a vicar, the service was conducted by Geoffrey Ellis and Clive Morris.
The service was very well attended.  Geoffery’s talk explained all the aspects of the “Christingle”.  He was ably assisted by  the young children - with a pumpkin acting as the orange!

At the appropriate time in the service the main lights were dimmed.  By the light of the Christmas trees the Christingles were passed out to the congregation who formed a large circle.
One by one our candles were lit and we all joined to sing ....

.....“Away In A Manger”.

It was a lovely service and was enjoyed by everyone who attended.

After the service seasonal refreshments were enjoyed by one and all!
