On Saturday
4th May about 50 people came together to “trip the light fantastic”
at the first Barn Dance that we’ve had at St.
John’s for quite a while now.
Ruth called
the dances, Eddie played the records for her and everyone joined in with
enthusiasm. [I wouldn’t be surprised if
there were a number of stiff joints and aching limbs the following day!]
Certainly
everyone was more than ready for the “Hot Pot and apple pie” which was served
half way through the evening.
Most of the
dances were progressive which enabled everyone to mix, and have a laugh,
together!
At the end
of the evening Geoffrey thanked Ruth and Eddie and also the caterers.
I should
like to thank Geoffrey for all his hard work in organising the event.
