Farewell Elaine

Sunday 2nd October was a sad day for us at St. John's!  The 10.30 a.m. service was the last one that Elaine Betteridge would attend before she moves to Halesowen to be nearer
 her daughter Joan.

Wishing her well in her new life, Peter Davies reminded us that Elaine had been "regularly attending St John's since 1954. "  In addressing Elaine, Peter went on to say, " I am sure that all of us are going to miss you very much, Elaine. We do appreciate and deeply value your support and commitment to this church; and, above all, your company and friendship. We hope that your move to Halesowen goes well and that you will find happiness in your new surroundings. "
Peter then asked her to cut the cake before presenting her with a small gift and saying, "On behalf of St John's, I would like to extend our grateful thanks for your support and generosity, and would like to invite you now to receive a gift from us, with our very best wishes for the future."

We are missing you already Elaine!
