The licensing of Jeremy Leffler - the party!

After the licencing service (see below) everyone was invited through to the hall for a buffet (excellently prepared by Christine and a team of contributors) and a refreshing fruit drink (prepared by Joyce)!
Margery and Cath took the opportunity to thank everybody for coming.



They did have a problem with the microphone but Cathy soon sorted the problem out!  It does help if you switch it on!







When everything was working Margery particularly welcomed our visitors from Widnes and thanked them for coming.

Finally they welcomed Cathy, Miriam, Joanna, Miriam and Michael as well as Jeremy to the parish and expressed the hope that they would be happy here with us in Birkdale.













Then it was Jeremy's turn to thank them.  He said that he had already been made to feel welcome since the family had arrived at the vicarage and he looked forward to meeting and working with everybody - which is good to hear!

After the formalities had been got out of the way the party continued. 

 It was an excellent opportunity to meet new people ......

......... renew old acquaintanceships  .....










 ..... and catch up with friends
 in a convivial atmosphere.
