WOW3 Holiday Club -Day 2

We began the morning by blue washing over the fish we had drawn yesterday!

Having discussed the "Water of Life" on Monday, today the focus was on "Water Power".  Looking back on it now we seemed to have had a very busy morning!

John demonstrated a static steam engine - which was fascinating.  It went so fast until it was coupled to a "machine" which it drove.

He also showed us his Powerwasher!  Maud's car has never looked so clean!  He also cleaned the back step of the hall.

Sal showed us how water freezing takes up more space - which can burst pipes.  We are going to test this by putting a bottle of water in the freezer!

We are getting better at playing the "Water flutes"....

.... and made some lovely, calming sounds with bottles of water.

We investigated the power water has to "dissolve" some white powders!

Have they....
 .....disappeared?

It tastes like "The sea"!!!

Then there was the power of water to get things clean .....

..... but that was very hard work!

We experimented with water wheels .....

..... and played "Water skittles".

With Christine, we proved that a house built on rock would stand much longer than a house built on sand when the "rain" fell for a given time!!

We then sang the song - "The wise man and the foolish man"

At the end of the morning Sal explained how Jesus had given the examples of "The Wiseman and the foolish man".  We all agreed that we would rather be like the wise man, than the foolish man!  Jesus said that meant we need to listen and act on what God tells us - not just do our own thing whatever, like the foolish man!  [Matthew 7 v 24-29]

We ended the morning by singing the song that we are going to sing on Sunday!
These are the experts ......

...... but we are all getting much better at it!!!!
